Activists Boniface Mwangi and Hussein Khalid of Haki Africa have uncovered shocking murders of people killed and their bodies ditched in River Yala.

Boniface, has posted a thread on Twitter, detailing their visit to Yala Sub County Hospital mortuary where they counted further than 20 putrefying bodies staying to be disposed off as unclaimed.
They also canvassed a substantiation, Mr. Okero Kite who said he has recaptured 31 bodies from River Yala since July last time.

On 10th October 2021 alone, Okero said he recaptured 10 bodies.
‘Each of the 10 bodies were in individual sacks, and in his own words, each body was neatly packed and sealed like a parcel,” Boniface said, quoting the substantiation.

Since July 2021, Okero Kite says he has removed over 30 bodies from River Yala. On 10th October 2021, he retrieved 10 bodies, each of them in individual sacks, and neatly packed and sealed like a parcel.

“Okero and the locals say the bodies are brought from different areas and dumped on the river. Two vehicles a Probox and a double cabin, have been spotted disposing bodies into River Yala. Boda Boda riders, and children going to school have seen those cars early in the morning,” As reported.
